Please join us at the Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley as we host the Ernest C. Trefz Memorial Sporting Clays Invitational at the Ten Mile River Preserve in Dover Plains, NY on Friday, August 25, 2017. The event will benefit critically ill children and their families in the Hudson Valley.

Ten Mile River Preserve offers world class stations for the sport of clay pigeon shooting. Often described as golf with a shotgun, the sport differs from skeet and trap shooting in that it involves shooting clays at various locations which are launched at different velocities and angles.

This 6th annual charity sporting clays event has been renamed for the late Mr. Trefz (1932-2017), who was a noted businessman, philanthropist and best known for operating 44 area McDonald’s restaurants. He was the longtime CEO of the Trefz Corporation, a family property management business, and the namesake of the University of Bridgeport’s business school.

Individual tickets cost $250 per person and sponsorships are available.

8:30 am - 9:15 am: Practice Shooting
9:15 am: Safety Orientation

In Support of Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley

At Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley we envision a world where all children have access to the medical care they need, and their families are fully supported and actively involved in their children’s care.  Thanks to our community of supporters we can offer families compassionate care by creating and running programs aimed at improving the health and well-being of sick children and their families.

When a child is battling a medical crisis, our House provides families with all the comforts of home and eases some of the burdens they face every day. Together, we continue to enable access to medical care for seriously ill children, allowing a family-centered care approach to treatment and giving families what they need most during this critical time -– each other.
