A Message From Marlo Popi

Our daughter Marlo was born 4 months premature at 24 weeks. At just over a pound this incredible little girl, now turning two, put in the fight of her life to be with us and share her amazing journey. During her 170 day stay in the NICU I had the opportunity to stay at the Ronald McDonald House on the hospital grounds. Staying there gave me the opportunity to be at my daughters bed side every day and at a moments notice. Staying 90 minutes from home was a challenge but the RMH made the experience feel like home no matter what! I am beyond grateful for the services they provide. A wonderful place to sleep, hot meals, laundry service, a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen and above all other families that are in similar circumstances, you are never alone if you do not wish to be. Please join our Daughter Marlo in raising money to help other families in their time of need. It is wonderful to know when you need it most, when it can't get any harder someone is their to keep up upright so you can be as strong as you need to be for the child you love more than your own breath. Any donation is a blessing and thank you in advance for your contribution.

At Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley we envision a world where all children have access to the medical care they need, and their families are fully supported and actively involved in their children’s care.  Thanks to our community of supporters we can offer families compassionate care by creating and running programs aimed at improving the health and well-being of sick children and their families.

When a child is battling a medical crisis, our House provides families with all the comforts of home and eases some of the burdens they face every day. Together, we continue to enable access to medical care for seriously ill children, allowing a family-centered care approach to treatment and giving families what they need most during this critical time -– each other.
