Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley

Campaign to Support Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley

At Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley we envision a world where all children have access to the medical care they need, and their families are fully supported and actively involved in their children’s care.  Thanks to our community of supporters we can offer families compassionate care by creating and running programs aimed at improving the health and well-being of sick children and their families.

When a child is battling a medical crisis, our House provides families with all the comforts of home and eases some of the burdens they face every day. Together, we continue to enable access to medical care for seriously ill children, allowing a family-centered care approach to treatment and giving families what they need most during this critical time -– each other.

The Hoffman family was one of the first families to call Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley home, back in 2011, when their son Dylan was hospitalized at Maria Fareri Children's Hospital shortly after he was born.

For the next three years, Caroline & Kevin Hoffman found comfort in the House a total of 77 nights, during Dylan's various hospital stays, until his passing on September 12, 2014.

Since then, every September the Hoffman family celebrates Dylan's life by raising funds and awareness for the Ronald McDonald House, so families like theirs have the support and resources they need to cope during their child's illness.

This September join the Dashing for Dylan Challenge and help us reach our goal of moving 3,650 miles and raising $100,000 in honor of Dylan's 10th birthday this year.

This goal will allow us to provide 532 nights of comfort to families during the most difficult time in their lives.
