Join us on the Walkway!

At Ronald McDonald House we believe that when a child is sick, the entire family needs comfort and support and that the best medicine of all is having your loved ones close by. We hope you will join us for our annual Footsteps for Families, Walk Over the Hudson and help us raise funds to continue supporting families. Families help us heal, which is why Ronald McDonald House helps keep them close; close to the hospital and close to their child. 

Meet our Grand Marshal Family: The Schulte Family

"Miss Elizabeth “Betty” Schulte arrived early on Monday July 26th, she was born at 23 weeks premature. Miss Betty spent 171 days in the NICU down at Maria Ferrari Children's Hospital at Westchester Medical Center. Seven days after she was born she had open heart surgery to close her third valve. From day one to when Betty got discharged; Ronald McDonald House was our rock and saving grace. It was home away from home. From our room door to Betty's door it would be less than 5 minutes away. They allowed us to be able to stay at our daughter's bedside while she fought to stay alive and healthy. There were volunteers who made sure we had a home cooked meal at breakfast, lunch and dinner. The House provided a kitchen, and a pantry if we wanted to cook anything we were welcome to use. We are so very blessed to have Ronald McDonald House in our lives and we will forever be grateful!
