In December 2022, a week before Christmas and 10 days after his birthday, our perfectly healthy 8 year old son, John, suffered a Basiliar Artery Stroke that left him in the PICU at Maria Fareri for nearly 4 weeks then at Blythedale Children's Hospital for 3 weeks. When we needed the support the most, the Ronald McDonald House of Westchester took us under their wing, helped us with lodging for 4 weeks, fed us 3 meals a day, showered us with gifts for not only John, but Gianna too. They made us feel at home at all times. The least we can do is participate in the Footsteps for Families and help a future family in a similar situation.
