Having a child is a blessing and joyous occasion. As some friends and family members may know, our daughter Mia spent 27 days in NICU at Westchester Medical Center, Maria Ferrari Childrens Hospital. It was an hour drive each way, along with paying tolls and the bridge. For the last 10 days of Mia's stay, we were blessed to receive help from The Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley. We no longer had the make the commute down everyday, just merely had to walk across the parking lot to see Mia. The Ronald McDonald House allows families with children at Maria Ferrari to stay at their house. All meals and laundry are included in the stay. The only thing the Ronald McDonald House asks in return is for a donation for the length of your stay, but will not turn away a family that cannot afford one. On May 6th Mia, along with family, friends, and supporters, will be walking to raise money for The Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley. Please help us raise money for this wonderful charity by making a donation. We were afforded the opportunity to stay at the RMH and wish for other families to be granted this convenience while their children are treated at the neighboring hospital. 100% of the monies raised goes directly to charity.
