I haven’t done a fundraising walk in a long time. This one is dear to my heart. Ronald McDonald House is an amazing place for families who need to stay close to their loved ones while they are receiving care at a local hospital. My brother stayed at a RMH back in 1989 when his wife and son were in a car accident. His son passed away, so he was fighting for his wife to stay alive. RMH provided a place for us to regroup, get some sleep, and feel loved at a time when our lives had fallen apart. 3 years ago Kelly and Alan spent countless days at Ronald McDonald House in Westchester while her twins were born extremely early. These little miracles got the wonderful care they needed, while they could be held daily by Kelly (and her family).. Kelly has been a huge supporter of RMH through these last few years and I’m excited to share that Kylie & Kelsey have been selected to be the Grand Marshals of this year’s Ronald McDonald Footstep for Families Walk Over the Hudson! The event will take place on Sunday, May 15th at 1pm at the Walkway (starting at the Highland side). All are welcome to join us for the event and/or join our team - Super K’s! As you all know the Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley was integral for Kelly and her family with the girls while they were in the NICU. The RMH granted her the opportunity to be with the girls daily for the duration of their 72 day stay. It is through fundraising like these events that allows them to provide all they did for her-a place to sleep, meals & snacks, company and activities, and so much more!
